Hello. And thank you for downloading the GreenLine theme for Textpattern.
In this Readme, I'll try to make it as simple as possible for you to install GreenLine. If, however, any problem arises, do not hesitate to mail me back at me@indranil.in.
Also, if you encounter any bugs, or have any suggestions for improvement, kindly mail me at me@indranil.in.

1) Introduction
---------------

I've been thinking of making a theme for a really long time. The motivation was provided by the Textplates theme competition, and I'm grateful to them for inspiring Textpattern users and lurkers alike, to come out with themes for the great CMS Textpattern.

Before installing GreenLine, you should backup all your forms and pages to a safe place, in case you have to migrate back to it, although I'm hoping you won't have to. ;)

2) License

3) Installation
---------------

Installation is pretty much straight forward.

a) Page templates ---> Navigate to the /pages/ folder within this folder. You will find three page texts. Copy-paste them into the respective pages in your Textpattern admin menu. If you don't see a page with the same name, create a page, and insert the content there.

b) Forms ---> Navigate to the /forms/ folder. Copy-paste each text file into the same named form in your Textpattern admin panel. Be sure to double check the names here, cause it may cause problems later.
As for the type of forms, here is the list:

comment_form -- comment (Replace existing)
comments_display -- article (Replace existing)
comments -- comment (Replace existing)
first-post -- article (Create new)
footer -- misc. (Create new)
head -- misc. (Create new)
page-post -- article (Create new)
previous-posts-alt -- article (Create new)
previous-posts -- article (Create new)
sidebar -- misc. (Create new)
single-post -- article (Create new)

c) CSS and images ---> I've decided not to use Textpattern's inline CSS editor for purely personal reasons. Just drop the entire /greenLine/ folder (Not the main one, but the one inside the main one) into your root directory (The folder which contains the textpattern folder), and you're set.

d) Sections ---> Ok, a little tweaking here. The 'section' page has the template for all the non-blog pages you'll create, like the About, Contact, etc. So, for every section you create that you don't want to have the blog template (default template), select 'section' under the Uses page option.

e) Plugins ---> To extract the full power of GreenLine, I've included one simple plugin from the ever so brilliant, Rob Sable (http://wilshireone.com).
The plugin is the rss_live_search plugin, and is available for download from http://www.wilshireone.com/textpattern-plugins/rss-live-search
To install this plugin, just download it, and install it. All the code is present in the theme.
However, if you do not want to include the Live Search in your pages, just open footer.txt and head.txt and find the code that's between the comments, and delete it.

f) Rejoice.

4) Extras
---------

2 things to keep in mind.
1) Set the Production Status to "Live"
2) Uncheck the "Present comments as a numbered list?" option.
tada!

So, that's it, I think. If you need anything else, mail me at me@indranil.in
I sincerely hope you like the theme.
Thank you very much again for downloading the theme.
